When removing the oil lamp to fill, take care not to lift by small glass tube around the wick. Lift by the rim that sits flush with the candle. Use candle oil or smokeless lantern oil. I'm sorry I am not permitted to send the oil through the mail but you can purchase it at most hardware or craft stores.
This is a lifetime wick. Please keep trimmed to approximately 1/8" and never burn unattended
For wicked candle, you may need to relight a few times to burn through the protective acrylic coating. You may try cutting a circle around the wick and peeling out the acrylic coating to make lighting easier. Keep wick trimmed to 1/4" after lighting. Burn on candle plate or fire resistant surface and never burn unattended.
